American Music Month

November 2005

November is American Music Month, a nation-wide event celebrating all aspects of American music, and TCU's School of Music will have a full schedule. In recent years, the TCU School of Music has won the National Federation of Music Club First Place award five times in recognition of its unparalleled commitment to the celebration of American music. This November's event promises to be a memorable one.

American Music Month is a means for everyone, whether performers, scholars, or audience members to acclaim the wide diversity of music-making in America. Designated as American Music Week by the U.S. Congress in 1985, it was changed to American Music Month for the new millennium.
