Once completed, please send your materials to:
Texas Christian University
School of Music
TCU Box 297500
Fort Worth, TX 76129
Attn: Ms. Sue Ott
The School of Music recommends that all applicants send their materials First Class Mail and utilize the USPS’s Delivery Confirmation Service.
Please note: Auditions will not be scheduled until the School of Music has received the applicant’s résumé, essay and Audition Request Application.
If accepted as a music major, all new students will be tested in the area of music literacy. This exam, given at the beginning of the fall semester, is designed to assess music theory and ear training skills. In addition, incoming students will be interviewed, and their keyboard skills assessed, for the purpose of placement in the appropriate level piano class.
Scholarships
There are many scholarship opportunities available to TCU music students. In order to be considered for an ACADEMIC scholarship, your completed TCU admission application as well as teacher and counselor evaluations must be postmarked no later than December 15. MUSIC scholarships are evaluated by audition until March 15, but the School of Music strongly encourages all applicants to complete the standard TCU admission procedure before December 15, to ensure that prospective students are considered for all ACADEMIC and MUSIC scholarship opportunities.
Please note: Final admission into the TCU School of Music as a music major will not be considered until the performance audition has been completed, all supporting materials have been submitted, AND the student has been fully admitted to TCU.
