Brad White recently retired as Director of Fine Arts for the Birdville Indepenedent School District and has been in music education for over 30 years.

Beginning in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, Brad began his career as a Junior High choral director at Harwood Junior High where he taught for nine years. From there, he came to Richland High School and then Birdville High School for fifteen years before moving into the position as Director of Fine Arts for BISD for 6 years. There, he was named Teacher of the Year on two occasions as well as awarded the Denius Award for Outstanding UIL Teachers.

A graduate of Texas Christian University (BME), and Texas Women’s University (MME), his choirs have performed for the Texas Music Educators Association with both Harwood and Richland, conducted three choir tours in Europe and is an adjunct Professor of Music Education at The University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Christian University.

Brad was Vice President of the Texas Choral Directors Association and was a co-author of the Hal Leonard textbook series, “Essential Elements for Choir.”  In 2008, Brad was fortunate to conduct a performance of area Methodist Church Choirs at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Brad currently spends his time as founder of the new “NRH2O Music Festivals,” consulting, judging, and working with area school districts while enjoying family time with his wife Holly and their High School Senior son, Taylor. He is an active member of White’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he plays violin in the church orchestra.
