J. David Brock, Assistant Professor of Voice has a master of music from the New England Conservatory of Music and a bachelor of arts from Abilene Christian University. His has most recently taught at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA and been on the faculty of the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. He has also taught at Texas Woman's University, Abilene Christian University, and the Boston Conservatory of Music. He has been artistic director of the Abilene Opera Association and on the faculty of the International Summer Music Academy in Altenburg, Germany and the Goldovsky Summer Music Institute at Southeastern Massachusetts University.

He has had a private voice and coaching studio in Stockton, Dallas, Abilene, and Boston. Numerous of his students have won competitions, scholarships, positions on faculties of various conservatories and universities, and have sung with the Metropolitan Opera, the Bonn Opera, and the New York City Opera.

He has served as accompanist and coach in Boston, New York City, Graz, Nausau, Stockton, Abilene, Denton, San Angelo, and Korea, and as conductor and music director in Boston, tat he Kennedy Center, and in Stockton, Abilene, and San Angelo. He has sung recital, operetta, and opera repertoire in Boston, Siena, Altenburg, and Abilene.
