Jennifer L. King, Assistant Professor of Musicology, earned her BM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington and her MM in Musicology from Florida State University. She completed her PhD in Musicology from Indiana University at Bloomington with a dissertation on a history of the proposta e risposta madrigal (ca. 1550-1640) and the issues of dialogue and imitatio.
Dr. King has presented her research at American Musicological Society conferences, and her most recent publications include Study and Listening Guide for A History of Western Music and Norton Anthology and Western Music (2005) and Study Guide for A Concise History of Western Music (2006).
