Fort Worth-TCU Symphonic Choir, TCU Alumni, TCU Symphony Orchestra
On the evening of October 1, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. the Fort Worth-TCU Symphonic Choir, the TCU Symphony Orchestra, and TCU alums will present an evening of Russian choral/orchestral masterworks, featuring Serge Prokofiev's immortal Alexander Nevsky (the cantata). Also on the program are Shostakovich's Festive Overture and Borodin's Polovtsian Dances. The performance will feature TCU School of Music alumni soloist Sarah Klopfenstein with conductors Germán Gutiérrez and Dennis Shrock.

Each TCU Faculty/Staff/Student may receive one complimentary ticket to the performance of “Russian Revolutionaries” on the evening of October 1, 2012.
To obtain your complimentary ticket, you may contact Bass Hall Box Office by phone or in person during the following hours:

Should you wish to purchase additional seats next to your complimentary ticketed seat, you may purchase them at the $10 student/child/senior rate either by phone or in person at Bass Hall Box Office.
Tickets may be mailed or held at the will call window at Bass Hall Box Office.
All patrons (including children and infants) must have a reserved seat ticket to attend this performance. No standing room or general admission seating will be permitted.

ALUMNI participation information

Alumni participation criteria include:
- Attendance, without exception, at all rehearsals (noted below)
- Purchase of the Peters edition of the Requiem and a black folder
- Preparation of music that involves mastery of the German language and transference of markings into your score (markings to be sent later)
- Participation in performance with appropriate concert attire
men: solid black tuxedo, bowtie, socks, and shoes, with white shirt
women: mid-calf solid black (no sequins) dress with covered back and shoulders and with understated jewelry
If you are interested in participating, please contact me (email@example.com) with your name, a synopsis of your TCU choral experience (including dates), and voice part (S1, S2, A1, A2, etc.). Decisions will be made as requests are received, so you are encouraged to contact me soon. There is a limit to the number of alumni who can be included. No requests will be considered after October 1st.
The experience of singing in the memorial concert promises to be rich and meaningful on many different levels.
