held almost daily,

Faculty Recitals are broadcast Monday morning at
10:00 the week following the recital on KTCU, 88.7 FM.
Ed Landreth Auditorium and PepsiCo Recital Hall (located
in the Walsh Center for the Performing Arts) are located
at the corner of South University Drive and West Cantey
Street. Free parking is available in lots north of each
facility.

Month
November is national American Music Month*,
and TCU has one of the most complete schedules anywhere
in the
U.S. In 2004 the School of Music once again won the
National
Federation of Music Clubs award for “The promotion
and performance of American Music”, as we did
in 2002, 1999, 1997, 1988, and 1966. This promises
to be even more memorable, as we focus on the wide
diversity of music making in America.

Noon Hour KTCU 88.7 FM
Each weekday will feature at least one work by an American
Composer and every Tuesday’s “Classical Excursions” hosted
by Rosemary Solomons from 10:00am – noon will be
devoted to the music of an American composer.
American Music Month is a nationwide
celebration of all aspects of American Music. It is a
means for everyone, whether they be performers, scholars,
or consumers, acclaim the wide diversity of music-making
in America. Designated as American Music week by Congress
in 1985, it was changed to American Music Month for the
new Millenium.
