In addition to lectures, guest-artist recitals, presentations, and masterclasses, the symposium will feature a student recital, an All-State Workshop for high school students, and an Orchestra Mock Audition with a $500 first prize. There will also be instrument luthiers to showcase their instruments and double bass accessories for our students. Download information below.
Fees: $30 for all participants (due by October 15); $15 for all auditors in advance or $20 at the door. Make checks payable to Texas Christian University, memo: Double Bass Symposium. Photocopied registration forms will be accepted. Check-in will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, October 24, and the sessions will close at 6:00pm on Sunday, October 25. Participants will be accepted on a first come, first served basis to perform in the student recital or to play in one of the masterclasses.
